Twitter has been regularly updating and adding to its photo editing features, with filters, tags, and cropping now available when you share your photos.  A few months ago Twitter announced a fun new feature, namely ‘#stickers’,  which allowed users to decorate the photos that they share on their feed with emojis – which are as popular as ever – as well as other cartoon accessories and props.

Today Twitter has announced the release of Promoted #stickers, which allows brands and businesses to pay to ensure their stickers have a featured placement in the sticker library.  The chosen launch partner for this new feature is Pepsi, associating the partnership with their global PepsiMoji campaign.

The stickers work in the same way as a hashtag; so clicking on a sticker brings up a feed of other user’s posts that have used the same sticker. This is a brand new concept and is quite exciting for brands to make their social media posts fun and engaging, whilst also spreading their brand awareness far and wide.
